Learning objectives
The course covers topics that are preliminary to understanding the basic mechanisms of diseases, the correct behavior with regard to the epidemiology and prevention of infectious diseases and the patient's needs in the radiological department. APPLIED HYGIENE The course should provide students with knowledge about the correct behavior patterns regarding the epidemiology and prevention of major infectious diseases and chronic degenerative diseases which are related to their profession. GENERAL PATHOLOGY The course will develop some arguments of General Pathology preparatory to the understanding of the basic mechanisms of disease. The General Pathology comes at a critical point, the intersection between basic and clinical science. The course was aimed at establishing essential links between clinical and fundamental mechanisms, facilitating the understanding of the conceptual basis of disease. PRINCIPLES OF CARE AND HOSPITAL HYGIENEThe health professional will be able to take charge and manage the patient both in the radiological room and in the operating units considering the needs of the same and using behavior models based on principles of hygiene and safety.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Knowledge of the general concepts of disease, pathology and etio-pathogenesis; the underlying cellular pathology; elements of oncology; immunity and inflammation.
