Learning objectives
The course focuses on the main sociological dimensions of the concept of culture and communication. At the end of the course, the student must apply the main theoretical and methodological tools of the sociology of culture and communication.
Prerequisites and basic notions

Program
Starting from the sociological perspective on the concept of culture, the course intends to reflect on tourist consumption. After a historical-social excursus, the last part of the course will focus on food and wine tourism, starting from the assumption that food is an element of material culture. The results of a survey relating to food consumption will be presented, as an example of social research in this area.
