Learning objectives
The objective of the course is to provide a main knowledge about classics and fundamentals in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (LSCM). The main research topics and evolving research streams will be described and analyzed, in conjunction with an analysis of the key grounding theories and methodologies in the leading journals related to the topic of SCM.

Fundamentals of Logistics & Supply Chain Management SCM)
Key research topics in LSCM
Main research streams and grounding theories in the academic LSCM literature
Paths of contributions for LSCM researchers.
Class 2 (4h)
Excellence paths of global Supply Chains. Case studies reading.
Discussion about the key topics emerging from 3 exemplary papers.
Class 3 (2h)
Presentation and in-depth discussion about a research case.
Class 4 (6h)
Making a contribution in LSCM – writing research articles.
Class 5 (2h)
Presentation and in-depth discussion about a research case.
Didactic methods
This course is designed to achieve the following objectives:
• to develop a richer understanding of the topic of LSCM;
• to discuss and analyses the overlaps between SCM and other research streams;
• to in-depth understand research methods in SCM;
• to bridge a gap between theoretical contributions and values for practitioners in the SCM field;
• to activate interaction and critical discussion by using readings and papers.
Learning assessment procedures
Grade Components:
1. Class Preparation, Participation, (30%)
2. Contribution, Discussion and presentation (30%)
3. Assignment, long abstract research (40%)
Grade components Expectations:
1. Students are expected to attend every class and be well-prepared. They should be able to individually lead the discussion on all assigned readings.
2. Students will develop a new empirical long abstract research paper (no papers already in process) with max 5 pages. Although students are not expected to collect or analyze data for this long abstract, all other aspects of the manuscript development process are required.
Deadline: September 10th.
