CONTAMINATION LAB 

The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.  

Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives

The major goal of this course is to provide students with a better understanding of the key economic policy tools that States and other supranational and international institutions can employ to address both national and global challenges. Special attention will be devoted to country exposure to a number of environmental and socio-economic risks as well as to discussing the pros and cons of alternative policy options. These topics will be addressed through lectures as well as various forms of interactive teaching managed through the E-learning platform.



Prerequisites and basic notions

The student must have a good knowledge of mathematics and statistics (high school level).

Didactic methods

The course comprises 48 hours of frontal lessons. The teacher uses slides and other material that will be made available to students on Moodle.

Learning assessment procedures

The final exam includes a written test consisting of 5 open-ended questions to be answered in 60 minutes.
The mid-term test is not scheduled.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

The exam aims to ascertain the acquisition by students of the ability to critically and rigorously evaluate the various economic policy interventions analyzed during the course.
