Learning objectives
The course aims to improve the knowledge of the of the history of art in the Renaissance and Barock periods. The students will increase their critical skills, also for the purpose of an individual research activity.

No prerequisites are required
Program
Course content: The Youth of Sebastiano del Piombo. Specifically, the following aspects will be addressed: 1. General introduction to the figure of Sebastiano and his critical rediscovery of Venetian activity; 2. Analysis of the biography; 3. Analysis of the Venetian works (1505-1511); 4. Overview of the relationship between music and painting in Venice between the 15th and 16th centuries.

Examination procedure: oral. It is recommended not only to study the texts of the volume, but also to memorise all the related images, for which recognition of author, subject, location, date and any other significant critical aspect is required.

Evaluation criteria
The student's ability to analyse in detail one or more works and to outline the context in which they were created, as well as their collecting and historiographical paths, will be assessed.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade will be composed by summing up the results of the awards and the answers to the more general questions.
