Learning objectives

A series of lectures organized by the Academy of Agriculture, Science and Letters of Verona, dedicated to studies on the Verona area from an interdisciplinary perspective. The intent is to compare the protagonists and examples of a long and significant tradition of studies with the perspectives opened up by the use of new means of communication but, above all, to offer a reflection on the role that this research can have on the territory, both in terms of cultural growth and in defining the identity of local communities and in terms of supporting economic activities and administrative planning. The cycle of lectures alternates interventions of a general nature, dedicated to a reflection on the history of this tradition of studies and the prospects for renewal, with others focused on individual areas of the territory or specific thematic areas, with the involvement of local cultural realities (centers, associations, institutes...) who will report on their productions, perspectives, expectations, and developments, in dialogue with local administrative, productive and economic realities. The meetings aim to provide greater awareness of the role of studies on the cultural heritage of a territory as a tool for cultural growth and social and economic development and to provide an overview of the operators involved.

Learning assessment procedures

A written report of approximately 8,000/10,000 characters

Evaluation criteria

Verify the student's understanding of the topics and ability to re-elaborate and summarize them. No bibliography is required.

The final grade consists of pass/fail, given that this is an F activity
