Laurea magistrale in Artificial Intelligence - Enrollment from 2025/2026

As stated in the Teaching Regulations, attendance at the course of study is not mandatory.

The course's teaching activities take place in the Science and Engineering area, which consists of the buildings of Ca‘ Vignal 1, Ca’ Vignal 2, Ca' Vignal 3 and Piramide, located in the Borgo Roma campus. 
Lectures are held in the classrooms of Ca‘ Vignal 1, Ca’ Vignal 2 and Ca' Vignal 3, while practical exercises take place in the teaching laboratories dedicated to the various activities.

Features of the teaching laboratories available to students

  • Alfa Laboratory

    • 50 PCs arranged in 13 rows of tables
    • 1 PC per teacher connected to an 8K Ultra High Definition video projector for exercises
    • PC configuration: Intel Core i3-7100, 8GB RAM, 250GB SSD, 24" monitor, Linux Ubuntu 22.04
    • All PCs are accessible to wheelchair users
  • Delta Laboratory
    • 120 PCs in 15 rows of tables
    • 1 PC per teacher connected to two 4K video projectors for exercises
    • PC configuration: Intel Core i3-7100, 8GB RAM, 250GB SSD, 24" monitor, Linux Ubuntu 22.04
    • One PC is on a height-adjustable table to ensure easy access for wheelchair users
  • Gamma Laboratory (Cyberphysical)
    • 19 PCs in 3 rows of tables
    • 1 PC per teacher with 4K video projector
    • PC configuration: Intel Core i7-13700, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 24" monitor, Linux Ubuntu 22.04
  • VirtualLab Laboratory
    • Accessible via the web: https://virtualab.univr.it
    • Emulates the PCs in the Alfa/Delta/Gamma laboratories
    • Can be used from the university network or via VPN from outside
    • Allows students to work remotely (e.g. library, home) with the same functionality as the laboratory PCs

Common features:

  • All PCs have the same suite of programmes used in laboratory teaching.
  • Each student has XXX GB of personal disk space, accessible from any PC.
  • Students can therefore use any PC in any laboratory without restrictions, always finding their previously saved documents.

This laboratory organisation offers flexibility and continuity in students' work, allowing them to access their documents and work environment from any workstation or remotely.
