Program
The course aims to develop abdominal pathology assessment skills through a global approach to the patient. Anamnestic data, clinical objectivity, interpretation of laboratory tests and bed-side ultrasound diagnostics must guide a reasoned differential diagnosis that requires decision-making choices based on a criterion of clinical priority.
Educational objectives: to develop skills in the evaluation and interpretation of clinical data and basic diagnostics of the main pathologies in the abdominal area: acute cholecystitis and biliary colic, acute urinary retention and renal colic in lithiasis, acute occlusion and subocclusion, acute diverticulitis and appendicitis , main acute gynecological problems to be put in differential diagnosis.
The theoretical and practical basis of abdomen's ultrasound - point of care will be laid during the course.
