Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

TAF (Type of Educational Activity) All courses and activities are classified into different types of educational activities, indicated by a letter.
Type D and Type F activities
Nei piani didattici di ciascun Corso di studio è previsto l’obbligo di conseguire un certo numero di crediti formativi mediante attività a scelta (chiamate anche "di tipologia D e F").
Oltre che in insegnamenti previsti nei piani didattici di altri corsi di studio e in certificazioni linguistiche o informatiche secondo quanto specificato nei regolamenti di ciascun corso, tali attività possono consistere anche in iniziative extracurriculari di contenuto vario, quali ad esempio la partecipazione a un seminario o a un ciclo di seminari, la frequenza di laboratori didattici, lo svolgimento di project work, stage aggiuntivo, eccetera.
Come per ogni altra attività a scelta, è necessario che anche queste non costituiscano un duplicato di conoscenze e competenze già acquisite dallo studente.
Quelle elencate in questa pagina sono le iniziative extracurriculari che sono state approvate dalla Commissione didattica e quindi consentono a chi vi partecipa l'acquisizione dei CFU specificati, alle condizioni riportate nelle pagine di dettaglio di ciascuna iniziativa.
Si ricorda in proposito che:
- tutte queste iniziative richiedono, per l'acquisizione dei relativi CFU, il superamento di una prova di verifica delle competenze acquisite, secondo le indicazioni contenute nella sezione "Modalità d'esame" della singola attività;
- lo studente è tenuto a inserire nel proprio piano degli studi l'attività prescelta e a iscriversi all'appello appositamente creato per la verbalizzazione, la cui data viene stabilita dal docente di riferimento e pubblicata nella sezione "Modalità d'esame" della singola attività.

ATTENZIONE: Per essere ammessi a sostenere una qualsiasi attività didattica, incluse quelle a scelta, è necessario essere iscritti all'anno di corso in cui essa viene offerta. Si raccomanda, pertanto, ai laureandi delle sessioni di dicembre e aprile di NON svolgere attività extracurriculari del nuovo anno accademico, cui loro non risultano iscritti, essendo tali sessioni di laurea con validità riferita all'anno accademico precedente. Quindi, per attività svolte in un anno accademico cui non si è iscritti, non si potrà dar luogo a riconoscimento di CFU.

Learning objectives
The purpose of this course is to provide students with adequate knowledge of managerial, organizational, and operational techniques that allow them to understand the functioning and management of a supply chain, with particular attention to logistics flows. The main objective is to enable students to develop interaction and problem-solving skills related to specific issues discussed in the classroom from a strategic-managerial perspective, concerning the organization of transportation logistics, warehousing, distribution and reverse logistics.
By the end of the class, the student should demonstrate the ability to understand the role of logistics flows across a supply chain. Additionally, they should possess knowledge and comprehension of managerial tools and techniques to serve customers in business complex contexts, including the discussion of case studies and operational tools.
Prerequisites and basic notions
To attend the course, it is necessary to have basic knowledge of management.
Program
This course will examine how to manage and organize a supply chain in the context of current global competitiveness. Specifically, we will focus on how to organize the logistic movement of products or their components along the supply chain efficiently, effectively, and sustainably.
Course Objectives
Through the use of case studies and targeted discussions, the course will explore how the supply chain can be configured as a tool for business growth and market success. We will discuss the importance of aligning supply chain strategies with the logistics network to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
Course Contents
Logistics and Supply Chain: Analysis of the role of customer service within the supply chain.
Trade-off between Service Level and Logistic Costs: Examination of the compromises between service quality and cost management.
Transport and Intermodality: Study of transport strategies and intermodality to optimize movement and distribution.
Management and Analysis of Logistic Costs: In-depth look at techniques to manage and minimize costs along the supply chain.
Warehouse Activities: Exploration of warehouse management strategies and operations.
Supply Chain Strategies: From production to the final customer, including distribution and reverse logistics aspects.
Omnichannel and Last-Mile Management: Focus on the integration of various distribution channels and the effectiveness of customer logistics service.

Didactic methods
The teaching involves the interaction of various methods such as discussions, role-play, and mini-cases, supported by a Moodle platform. These activities will be accessible to all students. The material to be prepared includes everything in the e-learning area as well as the reference book.
Learning assessment procedures
The assessment for this course includes both written and oral components. The written exam entails solving a business case, in which students are required to answer theoretical questions and provide reasoned solutions to the presented company business scenario. The oral exam assesses the student's knowledge of the course material and it is mandatory.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation criteria will be: competence in using technical vocabulary, the ability to identify logical and sustainable resolution paths, the ability to select management and operational tools and to assess their application within the logistical choices along the supply chain. The final evaluation is expressed in thirtieths and takes into account both the written test (evaluation 80%) and the oral exam (evaluation 20%).
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final assessment is expressed in 30ths (written part evaluated 80% of total and oral part evaluated 20% of total).

Graduation
The final exam consists of a paper in written form of at least 80 pages, exploring a topic of the student's choice relating to one of the subjects in the student's syllabus. The topic and title of the paper must be selected in agreement with a university lecturer from one of the SSDs included in the student's syllabus. The work must be developed under the guidance of the lecturer. The thesis is the subject of an oral presentation and discussion in front of a Degree Committee on one of the dates established explicitly in the calendar of teaching activities. In agreement with the Supervisor, the thesis may be written, and the discussion may take place in English.
Internships
The curriculum of the three-year degree courses (CdL) and master's degree courses (CdLM) in the economics area includes an internship as a compulsory training activity. Indeed, the internship is considered an appropriate tool for acquiring professional skills and abilities and for facilitating the choice of a future professional outlet that aligns with one's expectations, aptitudes, and aspirations. The student can acquire further competencies and interpersonal skills through practical experience in a work environment.

Those who already hold a university degree, have taken examinations as single courses or have interrupted a previous career due to resignation or forfeiture can have their career shortened and be admitted to the second year if they reach a minimum number of recognised CFUs.
Admission to a year after the first is possible through a competitive procedure; for further information, it is necessary to carefully consult the specific selection notice which can be found, similarly to that for admission to the first year, in the section Enrolment > How to enrol.
Modalità di frequenza, erogazione della didattica e sedi
Le lezioni di tutti gli insegnamenti del corso di studio, così come le relative prove d’esame, si svolgono in presenza.
Peraltro, come ulteriore servizio agli studenti, è altresì previsto che tali lezioni siano registrate e che le registrazioni vengano messe a disposizione sui relativi moodle degli insegnamenti, salvo diversa comunicazione del singolo docente.
La frequenza non è obbligatoria.
