Learning objectives

Students gain knowledge of funding sources by identifying the different resources available (EU, public, private) for cultural and artistic organisations. Students also learn to plan and manage the budget of cultural and arts organizations effectively and to conduct research on funding, patrons, industry trends and funding programs.

Program

The course aims to provide basic knowledge of the main tools for financial management and fundraising for organizations within the artistic and cultural sector. By the end of the lessons, students will be able to analyze, understand, and critically and autonomously evaluate the main financial issues and dynamics. The following topics will be explored in depth during the course: actors and financial needs of the artistic and cultural sector; objectives and tools for financial planning; objectives and tools for fundraising; innovation and sustainability in fundraising for creative and cultural organizations.
