Learning objectives
The main objectives are threefold.
1) Provide an overview of the benefits and limitations of international trade in promoting the wealth of nations.
2) Show the most well-known and significant indicators regarding a country's degree of openness and performance in this area.
3) Present Italy's position in international trade, including its strengths and weaknesses.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Basic economic knowledge, particularly the meaning of aggregate variables such as exports, imports, and GDP.
Program
The program is presented in three lessons of 2 hours each, with the following titles:
1) International trade: From genesis to apocalypse
2) International trade: The Italian case, from trade to the exchange rate
3) International trade: engine and brake of wealth

Learning assessment procedures
A 12-question multiple-choice test will assess the candidates' level of preparation.
Evaluation criteria
You must answer more than half of the questions correctly.
