Learning objectives

The course aims to provide basic theoretical knowledge on the archives during their making and on the management of current archives. The course provides an opportunity to get in contact with the documentation, as a first practical experience of using historical archives and as an approach to matters of research within archives as well. The course will also deal with concepts and practices related to computer archivistic, PEC, digital signature, graphometric and digital document preservation. At the end of the course the student will have to know the concepts exposed in the class, to know the basic archival tools used and illustrated in class.
