Learning objectives

The course will give a diachronic description of Russian language, focusing on some substantial moments in its historical evolution and paying specific attention to both the socio-cultural approach and the sectorial languages. At the end of the course, students will be able to: 1) know the fundamental traits of the diachronic development of the Russian language; 2) use the specific historical-linguistic knowledge acquired during the course; 3) analyse and interpret literary and non-literary texts from different epochs.
