Learning objectives

In this course students will learn methods and best practices for organizing data and representing knowledge, according to well established formats and technologies (e.g., Semantic Web / Linked Data). Special emphasis will be given on their usage in application domains related to the Humanities. At the end of the course students: will learn the principles and basic notions of data and knowledge representation; will learn state-of-the-art formalisms for data and knowledge representation; and, will learn how to apply methods for modelling data and representing knowledge.
