Learning objectives

On completion of the course students: 1.will acquire knowledge and competences related to methodological approaches and the use of ICT in English Language Teaching, also from a practical point of view; 2. will acquire knowledge and competences related to methodological approaches and the use of ICT in English Literature/Culture Teaching, also from a practical point of view; 3.will be able to apply the knowledge and competences they have acquired in educational environments.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Level of English language: C1

Program

The Workshop is structured as follows:
a) 2 CFU Language Teaching (24 hours);
b) 2 CFU Literature Teaching (24 hours);
c) 2 CFU Internship (50 hours).
a) Language Teaching: 10 hours on topics related to blended language teaching, 8 hours dedicated to microteaching sessions;
b) Literature Teaching: 10 hours on topics related to blended literature teaching, 8 hours dedicated to microteaching sessions.
The topics related to teaching will be further developed through: 8 hours dedicated to the eTwinning project; 4 hours for a meeting with secondary school teachers.
c) Internship: The workshop also includes an internship in a secondary school (first or second level) aimed at applying the knowledge and skills acquired in the methodological section. Reference texts: materials used during the seminars, available in the Moodle space.

Didactic methods

Lessons will be organised in the form of seminars, and students' interaction in the Moodle e-learning dedicated space is required.

Learning assessment procedures

There will be no final exam/paper.
The seminar will be completed through: class participation; assignments in the dedicated Moodle e-learning forums; a microteaching activity.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

Evaluation of the Teaching Lab, expressed as approved/not approved, will take into account: active participation in seminars; effective completion of activities/tasks in the dedicated Moodle e-learning forums; materials and structure of lesson plans in the microteaching activity.
