Learning objectives

To know the basics of orthodontics in childhood and adulthood. Be able to integrate the acquired knowledge to formulate a treatment plan of interceptive orthodontics and communicate it to the patient and/or parents and/or a group of colleagues in terms of multidisciplinary and/or teamwork. Ability to provide adequate information and adapt the therapeutic plan based on the highlighted disorders and alterations of the dentofacial complex and the consequences that would occur in case of treatment failure. To develop skills that allow autonomy of judgement in the collection of medical records, the ability to identify therapeutic needs and the different clinical options in the field of orthodontics, leading to the formulation of complex and individualized therapeutic plans for each patient.
