Learning objectives

To know the basics of periodontology and integrate the acquired knowledge to formulate a conservative and curative periodontal treatment plan, communicate the therapeutic options to the patient and/or a group of colleagues in terms of multidisciplinary and/or teamwork. Ability to give adequate information and personalize the therapeutic plan based on the objectivity found, with the utmost attention to the effects that would occur in the absence of treatment and motivation to care. Development of skills that allow autonomy of judgement in the collection of medical records, of clinical data, in the ability to identify therapeutic needs and the different clinical options in the periodontal field, leading to the formulation of complex and individualized therapeutic plans for each patient
