Introduction to medical microbiology, Commensal and pathogenic microbial flora in humans. General information on laboratory diagnostics, Microscopy and in vitro cultures, Molecular and serological diagnostics in Microbiology. General information on the immune response, Innate and acquired responses, Vaccines and sera. Sterilization, disinfection and antisepsis. Bacteriology Structure, metabolism, replication and genetics of bacteria. Mechanisms of pathogenesis of bacterial diseases. Antibacterial drugs, mechanisms of resistance to antibacterial drugs. The main bacteria pathogenic to humans: Staphylococci, Streptococci, Enterococci, Bacillus anthracis, Listeria monocytogenes, Corynebacteria, Mycobacteria, Neisseria, Hemophili, Enterobacteriaceae, Vibrio, Campylobacter, Helicobacter, Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Bartonella, Bordetella, Brucella, Legionella, Clostridia, Actinomycetes, Spirochetes, Mycoplasmas, Rickettsiae, Orientia, Ehrlichia, Coxiella, Chlamydiae and other minor bacteria.
