Type D and Type F activities

Le attività formative di tipologia D sono a scelta dello studente, quelle di tipologia F sono ulteriori conoscenze utili all’inserimento nel mondo del lavoro (tirocini, competenze trasversali, project works, ecc.). In base al regolamento didattico del corso, alcune attività possono essere scelte e inserite autonomamente a libretto, altre devono essere approvate da apposita commissione per verificarne la coerenza con il piano di studio. 

Per eventuali limitazioni si rimanda agli articoli relativi  alle ATTIVITÀ A SCELTA  e  ATTIVITÀ FORMATIVE TRASVERSALI (F), STAGE, TIROCINI, ALTRO e del regolamento didattico del cds.

I crediti D / F possono essere acquisiti principalmente con attività didattiche nelle seguenti 4 tipologie:

2. Insegnamenti del catalogo generale di ateneo.

3. Lingue – incluso l’italiano per stranieri.

4. Competenze trasversali – TALC.

Learning objectives

The course aims to introduce the concepts of general and inorganic chemistry that are closest to biotechnology, through targeted exercises. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to easily and independently tackle numerical problems regarding the stoichiometry of reactions, redox reactions, acid-base reactions, the concept of pH, the preparation and dilution of solutions, and the various ways to express their concentrations.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Knowledge of basic general and inorganic chemistry.

Program

- Brief theoretical introduction to: 1) ponderal stoichiometry; 2) redox reactions, acid-base equilibria and pH 3) preparation and dilution of a solution - Exercises in ponderal stoichiometry - Exercises on redox reactions - Exercises on calculating the pH of aqueous solutions of acids, bases and salts - Exercises on dilution of solutions and the various ways of expressing the concentration of solutions.

Didactic methods

Lectures with the aid of PowerPoint presentations. Exercises will be completed on the board. The instructor will provide students with recordings of the General and Inorganic Chemistry course, which will take place in the first semester (October 2025-January 2026), as well as videos from the JoVE platform, including practical experiments in a virtual laboratory.

Learning assessment procedures

There is no exam to verify learning. The instructor will collect attendance signatures.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE
