Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Il corso si propone di introdurre gli studenti ai meccanismi fondamentali di formazione e funzionamento del diritto internazionale contemporaneo. Il metodo didattico del corso si ispira ad un approccio induttivo e interattivo, allo scopo di stimolare la capacità critica e analitica degli studenti, tenuto conto che sarà tale capacità a "fare la differenza" nel loro futuro professionale
Program
Il corso si concentrerà sullo studio delle tre funzioni fondamentali alla base della dinamica della legalità nella comunità internazionale: formazione, accertamento e attuazione coercitiva delle regole giuridiche. Tale studio verrà condotto tenendo conto dell’evoluzione sociale e politica della Comunità Internazionale moderna e contemporanea. A tal fine, speciale importanza verrà attribuita al c.d. dibattito transatlantico attualmente in corso sulle regole fondamentali del diritto internazionale contemporaneo, non trascurando la posizione del Sud e dell’Est del mondo.
La materia viene presentata nelle sue molteplici dimensioni, in particolare:
a) come uno degli strumenti di gestione del mutamento in modo da salvaguardare i livelli minimi di stabilità e prevedibilità dei rapporti giuridici internazionali;
b) come linguaggio finalizzato al raggiungimento dell'accordo, o come catalizzatore del "disaccordo pacifico";
c) come una delle chiavi di lettura della realtà internazionale contemporanea. Trasversalmente rispetto alle diverse parti del corso, verrà evidenziato come le regole internazionali, sebbene elaborate dai governi ed indirizzate ai governi stessi, incidano significativamente sui privati e sui loro interessi concreti. Conseguentemente, insieme allo studio degli organi internazionali competenti in materia di interessi privati, verrà sottolineato il ruolo degli organi nazionali di attività interna - con particolare riguardo a quelli giudiziari e agli enti locali - nell'attuazione, e quindi nell'osservanza, delle regole giuridiche internazionali.

Internships
Internships are aimed at enabling students to gain direct knowledge of the world of work and to acquire specific professional skills.
Internships are carried out under the responsibility of an individual lecturer, and can be carried out in professional firms, public administration bodies and companies recognised by the University of Verona.
Any CFU credits gained by doing internships will be recognised and recorded by the University in accordance with the relevant University regulations in force (Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari).
