Learning objectives
The course aims at providing students with an in-depth knowledge of the most common special contracts (including the atypical ones) – regulated in the civil code and other laws – that are relevant to the contemporary business, in the context of domestic and international trade. Students shall acquire the ability to solve the legal issues examined during the course and to autonomously formulate in-depth judgements and arguments, both in written and oral form, as well as to critically adapt the solutions developed to different contexts.
Prerequisites and basic notions
A prerequisite for attending the course is the knowledge of the basic notions of private with special regard to contract and obligation law.
Program
The teaching aims to offer students the opportunity for further consolidation and deepening of private law topics (in particular, contract law) through the analysis of practical cases.
The course is part of the "Business and Global Markets" curriculum and focuses on some of the "typical" contracts that are most common in practice.
Case analysis aims to stimulate discussion on important and controversial aspects of legal practice and allows students to engage with the constant debate between legal science and case law

Case analysis
A space in the course will be devoted to in-depth study of specific topics in seminar form, directly involving professionals and other experts.
For ERASMUS students, the exam study program must be agreed upon with teachers at the beginning of classes.
Learning assessment procedures
Assessment of the required knowledge will be through a single oral discussion.
Attending students may take a partial written pre-test. Teachers may also agree with students on in-depth individual or group discussions on specific topics relevant to the course syllabus (paper and presentation of work to the class).
For ERASMUS students, assessment methods must be agreed with teachers at the beginning of classes.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation will take place through the following criteria:
- the depth and breadth of the knowledge acquired;
- the property of language;
- analytical and argumentative ability;
- the capacity for critical reflection.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The score is referred to the oral test and the final evaluation is expressed in 30ths.
For those students who attend the lessons and take the intermediate test, the final grade also takes into account the result of the test. Any individual or group work developed by students, arranged in agreement with teachers, will also be evaluated.
