Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
L´obiettivo principale di questo corso è fare acquisire agli studenti una conoscenza basica dell´Inglese giuridico ed anche fornire la capacità di utilizzo di tale linguaggio. Questo si farà con lo studio della storia della Common Law ed attraverso la comprensione delle origine del linguaggio giuridico con le influenze latine, normanne e teutoniche. Gli studenti inoltre, leggeranno leggi, statuti e casi per familiarizzare con l´inglese giuridico, anche con lo studio della legislazione Europea in inglese per capire meglio il linguaggio usato ad oggi a livello europeo.
Si studierà diverse discipline del diritto per capire la particolarità del linguaggio di detta disciplina. Esempi pratici e la lettura di testi legali e contratti saranno utilizzati per dare agli studenti modelli di uso del linguaggio.

Examination Methods
Al termine del corso ci sarà un esame scritto che comprenderà la traduzione dall´italiano all´inglese e dell´inglese all´italiano,di clausole contrattuali ed estratti di legge.

Internships
Internships are aimed at enabling students to gain direct knowledge of the world of work and to acquire specific professional skills.
Internships are carried out under the responsibility of an individual lecturer, and can be carried out in professional firms, public administration bodies and companies recognised by the University of Verona.
Any CFU credits gained by doing internships will be recognised and recorded by the University in accordance with the relevant University regulations in force (Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari).
