Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the introductory course of Medieval History is shared with the other courses of the historical area. The aim is to enable the student to critically evaluate a historical testimony by placing it in the spatial and temporal coordinates of the European Middle Ages. At the end of the course the student must be able to know the fundamental lines of development of European medieval civilization. It should also be able to independently assess the meaning of historical events and to communicate facts and ideas clearly.
Program
The introductory course of Medieval History consists of illustrating the main aspects of the political, social, cultural, economic, religious and cultural evolution of the European West from the 4th to the 15th centuries.The didactic approach is predominantly the traditional lecture (taught lessons).

Examination Methods
The exam will take place in oral form. The student will have to demonstrate the ability to clearly illustrate three arguments proposed to him, and he will have to correctly locate each problem or event in space and time. It will also have to prove to be familiar with the historical sources useful to the knowledge of these problems or events.
Examination will be awarded an evaluation in 30/30. Examination methods are identical for attending and non-attending students
