Learning outcomes
The teaching programme aims to impart the fundamentals of the theory and language of philosohy in such a way that students will be able to independently recognize and understand the internal relationship between philosophical concepts and issues. To encourage this, the teaching programme will cover a number of central issues to the European and extra-European philosophical traditions. The aim is not simply to judge students' ability to learn information, but also to encourage them to make independent judgements and hone their reasoning skills, with the help of a seires of exercises proposed during te course.

The course is structured around the following question: how to think experience? What is the relationship between thought and experience?
The programm is articulated as follows:
. Interpretarive methafors of reality. Process of hyper-metaphorisation. Conflict with other linguistic modalities: the metonymic pole. Politics of Language. . Qualitative materialism. Critic of an objective and deteriministic conception of reality.
. Crisis of the concept of esperience. Historical reconstruction of this concept. Theoretical and political need for its reconceptualisation (Walter Benjamin, "Esperienza e povertà" and "Il narratore" in Walter Benjamin, "Esperienza e povertà", Castelvecchi ed., 2018.
. Imagination in relation to experience. Literature and narration. When narrated experience becomes part of the shared world. Hannah Arendt's Thought (1. Hannah Arendt, "Isak Dinensen (1885-1962)", in "aut aut" n. 239-240, 1990; 2. Hannah Arendt, "L'umanità in tempi bui", Cortina 2019, with the Introduction of Laura Boella; 3. The evaluation is an oral exam, both for those who attend and for those who cannot attend. For those students that cannot attend it is necessary to meet te professor during the tutorials, so that the various aspects of the programme can be explained and discussed togheter. The students who cannot attend are encouraged to read the different introductions to the books in the programme carefully.
