Period
Sem. IIB dal Apr 20, 2015 al Jun 7, 2015.
Learning outcomes
The course want to promove a dialogue with a maybe too little known Classic of Italian philosophy, trying to establish its importance in the formation of modern philosophy of history.
Program
Benedetto Croce asserted that «who wants really to know Vico, he has to read and meditate the books of Vico; and this is indispensable, and this is the only possible objectivity». Following this line, the course expects the lecture and comment of La scienza nuova by Vico, especially focalizing the doctrine of verum ipsum factum.
