The making of Roman Italy
1) Livius, books VIII-IX; Plutarchus, Life of Pirrus (in a publication with commentary);
2) passages which will be presented during the courses;
3) A.Mastrocinque, Storia Romana, Bologna, Patron 2006.
An historical atlas is recommended
Teaching methods: Normal lessons. The passages of ancient authors will be given in translation and, in any cases, also in original languages
