Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
the course aims at pointing out the historical development of the artistic literature from XVth century to the contemporary age, showing the theoretical and methodological process through a direct comparison with the works of art and the cultural education of the protagonists. Lessons will be based on a selection and analysis of some particularly representative texts of the literature on the subject that will be considered in their context
Program
Pre-requisite: not necessary; this notwithstanding the preparation of the exam is suggested after passing the introductive modules of Medieval and Modern Art History.
Content of the course: the lessons aim at showing the interrelations of some literary problems with the style and the theoretical fundaments of the contemporary attitude.

During the lessons the teacher will define the precise pages that are necessary for the preparation of the exam. All texts will be available in copies at the end of the lessons.
Teaching methods: frontal lessons with projection of slides/pictures and analysis of texts.
Examination Methods
Exam methods: written test lasting two hours: two questions on the texts indicated in the bibliography.
