Learning outcomes

“Sport Physiology” is an elective course on Integrative Physiology applied to movement and sport.
The course aims at providing detailed notions on the main functional indexes of aerobic performance. Through the reading of scientific articles, the course aims at fostering technical competences and critical thinking that are propaedeutic to research in the field of sport sciences. The use of the English language allows to foster the understanding and use of scientific terminology and of international science communication style.

Program

This year's course will cover the following topics:
- concept of exercise intensity
- physiological basis of the thresholds
- field measurement methods
- laboratory measurement methods
- correspondence between methods
- the concept of equivalent load and its correct implementation
