- Nutrients (structure, absorption, function):

- Bioenergetics of physical exercise:
o Energy balance, basal metabolism, and energy cost of exercise
o the role of nutrients in exercise bioenergetics and adaptive responses

- Thermoregulation during exercise, body fluid balance, and hydration

Evaluation criteria
Learning assessment will be conducted through an oral exam and will take into account:
- knowledge and understanding of the theoretical content of the course;
- ability to connect the principles of sports nutrition to different contexts of physical exercise and performance;
- ability to critically analyze scientific literature and reference guidelines;
- clarity of presentation, command of language, and correct use of scientific terminology.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade, expressed in thirtieths, is determined exclusively by the outcome of the oral exam, which comprehensively evaluates the criteria listed.
