Learning outcomes
The course aims at analyzing how English literary tradition is re-read in the Twentieth Century through primary texts and criticism by representative authors.
Program
Rereadings of English literary tradition in the Twentieth-Century
Syllabus: The course aims at analyzing the characteristics of the Victorian novel, their transformation and re-reading in Modernism and Postmodernism, with specific attention to the works by Charles Dickens and Peter Ackroyd.
