Learning outcomes

The course aims at guiding the students to a wide and in-depth knowledge of some of the most relevant nineteenth- and twentieth-century Russian authors through a critical approach to their texts availing itself of the main critical methodologies. The focus, in particular, will be on the novel genre through a pre-eminently narratological and stylistic approach meant to show the modes of representation of the various themes. Analytic approaches will be applied to poetry, as well, in texts provided during classes.
