Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
The course aims to introduce to the study of Italian literature through the analysis of significant works especially considering their relationships with foreign literary tra-ditions. At the end of the course the stu-dent will be able to - contextualize, under-stand and comment on a literary text; - move with competence in the framework of the Italian literary tradition and its main thematic and formal characteristics, with attention to the intersections with the Eu-ropean literature.
Program
The main aim of this course is to give an introduction to the history of the Italian literature through the direct analysis of a corpus of texts on issues of particular interests.

The written examination in the form of open questions is to ascertain the Knowledge of the life and works of the authors treated and the Textual competence (analysis and commentary of the texts).
