Learning outcomes

The knowledge of the comic history and its language, its influences in the national history and the cultural forming of people particularly for the students who will be future teachers.

Program

After an outline of the comic origin and its language, the program will analyse:
1) the experiences of the children's magazines, t the beginning of the twentieth century.
2) the Italian popular adventurous comic between the thirties and the fifties.
3) The Black heroes of the sixties.
4) the season of the author's comic and of the magazines between the seventies and the nineties
5) the success of the graphic novel in the new millenium.

Examination Methods

The exam will verify the knowledge of the comic history and its language, its influences in the national history and in the cultural forming of people particularly for the students who will Be future teachers. - the knowledge of the comic language through an analysation of a comic book or a graphic novel. - The exam will be oral and it will evaluate the qualifying level. - The exam criteria are the same for everybody
, the program will be more detailed only for students who do not attend the course. Program material in p. d. f with addional lecture notes and video course recordings will be available for the students by their professor. All material included in the bibliography can be used in accordance with the professor.
