Learning outcomes

This course, after introducing the production processes of the publishing industry, from conception to distribution, and the building blocks of individual publishing products (paper, colors, fonts, printing techniques, layout, etc.) Will analyze some of the most significant covers international contemporary publishing, explaining techniques, iconography and links with the works, the readers, the market.

Program

The course consists of workshop meetings on the history of the character and covers modern and contemporary to explore two elements constituting the book as object: the characters and the covers.
