Learning outcomes

Through the analysis of the structure of a narrative text (author / reader, time, space, characters) and techniques (functions, registers, construction of the periods, use of rhetorical figures), the students will be guided to understand short texts to recognize the main characteristics of the most significant textual types of narrative.
The theoretical knowledge will be joined to practical exercises: at the end of the course the students will be able to write short stories following the rules of the narrative genre.

Program

1. Analysis of tales structures and different types of tales (realistic, fantastic, yellow, ...).
2. Identification of linguistic and lexical structures and expressive strategies suitable for the narration.

TEACHING METHODS.
Taught classes.
Guided readings and analyses of meaningful examples of short stories will be paired with written exercises. The texts will be available on the e-learning platform.
Further bibliographical indications will be provided at the beginning of the course.

NB: THE COURSE IS DEVOTED ONLY TO ATTENDING STUDENTS.

Examination Methods

The Laboratory is intended exclusively for attending students. There will not be a single final exam, but the certification of learning and the control of attendance will be based on the performance of written exercises that will be assigned during the lessons: students may complete 80% of the assigned exercises and charge them on the Moodle page of the course by the date of the exam they intend to participate. The achievement of the 3 CFU will therefore be linked to the outcome of these tests.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE
