CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives
The Course analyzes the theoretical and technical aspects of the journalistic text produced and influenced by new media and offers students the minimum and essential tools to analyze and produce digital and multimedia contents (journalistic and informative). The focus of the course is the analysis of the main production models of information, from printed paper to online information. Particular attention is given to the multimedia writing techniques typical of digital information and social networks.

Journalism, Information and Communication: differences and evolution from analogic to digital age.
ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) belong to our everyday life. What is it changing? How and how many conseguences are taking in journalism field, but also in social and personal life. From social network to Internet and traditional (old) media: changes and new perspectives in terms of professional communication and journalistic jobs.

Learning assessment procedures
The exam is oral but also requires students to create a multimedia hypertext to be prepared at home by following the instructions and guidelines explained and dealt with in class and in the course materials. This thesis will be discussed during the exam where the knowledge of the theoretical part of the course will also be tested. The final evaluation will therefore take into account a practical part (40%) of a theoretical one (40%) and participation in class (20%) which for non-attending students will be calculated with some additional materials.
