Bibliography
Didactic methods
The teaching methods consist of lectures that describe the structural elements of Italian and trace its historical path. Specific insights are dedicated to conceptual issues, critical moments, intellectual debate on language. Particular attention is paid to arousing in students the awareness of their own skills as native speakers, favoring their active interventions and proposing surveys on single problems.
With regard to non-attending students, the teaching methods consist of a teacher's support for an updated study. Any further updates will be made available to the student in good time through the e-learning platform.
At the end of the course, the teacher will publish the analytical list of all the topics that will be examined on the e-learning platform.
Learning assessment procedures
For all students, attending and non-attending, the assessment of learning outcomes involves a written test.
The test covers all the topics of the program and is divided into two parts:
• one part with 28 multiple choice questions, divided into groups relating to the different thematic areas of the course.
• a part with 2 open-ended questions, which allow the student to deal with a problematic topic in an argued form.
Objectives of the assessment test:
• verify analytical knowledge of the program topics.
• verify the capacity for reflection and elaboration in relation to some problematic points.
For Erasmus students the test takes the form of an oral exam. The teacher will clarify the contents and methods of the test in class.
Evaluation criteria
For the part with multiple choice questions, 5 points are awarded for each correct answer, 0 points for each answer not given, minus 1 point for each incorrect answer. The sum of the scores thus obtained is then reduced into thirtieths. For the part with open-ended questions, a maximum of 3 points are awarded for each answer.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The sum of the scores acquired in the assessments of the two parts of the test will form the final grade, expressed in thirtieths.
