Learning outcomes

The course wants to initiate students, through a sociological reflection, in the meaning of socialization, primary socialization and identity, this is to improve their work like professional in education. Through the study of the main theories, it wants to give the basic instruments to recognize processes, agencies (in particular family), techniques for social identity construction and to analyse the relationship between socialization, identity and difference.

Program

On the first part, the course will focus the attention on socialization and identity construction through the study of different theoretical Approaches and Authors (like Piaget, Durkheim, Parsons, Kardiner, Bourdieu and Berger e Luckmann).
