Program

Learning from experience. The internship as a practice-based learning environment: - the centrality of the learner - reflective experience - teaching tools: observation, narrative practices, discussion with the community of practitioners - ex ante, ongoing, and ex post evaluation. • Knowing how to consciously choose the internship organization: discussion with the internship office. • Knowledge of childcare legislation: - "National Guidelines for Early Childhood Education Services" - "Pedagogical Guidelines for the Integrated 0-6 System" - regulations on workplace safety (Legislative Decree 81/2008). • Knowing and understanding the educator's posture and professional ethics. • Operational tools: when, how, and why to use them. Participatory observation, the logbook, questionnaires. • The 0/3 Service as an inclusive environment: reflecting on the importance of language as a tool for relationships and the prevention of violence. • Acquire tools to organize and think about dialogue with families. • Recognize the role of spaces and the educational environment as a "third educator." • Experiment with the use of unusual/recycled materials as creative stimulus. Reflect on art and illustrated books as tools for relationships, inclusion, and growth. • Build and enhance bonds of care and participation: the educational alliance and educational continuity. • Implement an educational project: needs analysis, planning, documentation, evaluation. • Strengthen personal awareness of the educator's motivation and role. • Consolidate the reflective skills developed during the process.

Didactic methods

Students will be guided through the internship environment through a teaching approach that blends theory and practice. Starting with theoretical content, all lessons will include hands-on individual, subgroup, and large-group work to support the experiential learning of the students and prepare them for the direct experience they will later gain during their internships. Testimonials by 0/3 service professionals will also be provided, addressing the topics covered in the program. In the final lessons, students will be guided through the creation of a project in small groups, which will then be assessed in an exam.

Learning assessment procedures

The exam will consist of an individual presentation in which the student will summarize what they have learned from the course in a personal way. The aim of this work will therefore be to qualitatively understand what has been learned and internalized personally. The evaluation of this work will therefore focus on the analysis of the student's completeness and personal critical reworking of the topics presented in the written work. There will be no numerical evaluation; instead, the wording "Approved" or "Failed" will be used.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

There will not be a numerical rating, but the wording Approved or Not Approved will be used.
