Program

Module 1 (30 hours)
The teaching retraces the models of encounter with the other inherited from the conquests and European colonialism highlighted by decolonial thought.
How to make visible, in educational actions, the differences of which each and every person is a bearer? How can we foster interaction between the multiplicity of belongings and languages present in multicultural contexts without flattening, homologating and homologating to a 'single educational model'? How can we encounter each other bearing in mind the many uniquenesses of each? What positioning of educational thinking and doing requires the pedagogy of encounter? How can we build micro-communities in the territory and in educational services?
One of the main horizons of teaching is to learn to situate ourselves as persons, to situate the knowledge we learn by trying to interrogate it from several points of view. A second horizon is to understand how to move from observing the other as 'missing' to an eccentric vision, outside hegemonic thinking, gaining awareness of our own ethnocentrism. We will discuss this together with women who have crossed worlds and languages, cultural-linguistic mediators and trainers.
Learning to situate oneself is an exercise that allows one to get to know 'cultural' limits, to link people's needs to geopolitics, not to fix one's gaze on issues by attributing them to the individual but to open it up to circular visions and to communities near and far.

Didactic methods

The training is conducted in an active, reflective and compositional manner.
The face-to-face teaching will be enriched by insights into some key words relating to teaching topics.
We will meet with experts working in educational services.
We will experiment, during teaching, with diary writing as a tool for reflection and analysis of one's personal journey. Parts of it will be shared with the teacher and the students.
For non-attending students, the study texts remain unchanged; please note that the workshops (12 hours) are compulsory.

Learning assessment procedures

The examination will take place orally, discussing the theoretical parts of the study texts and lectures.
In addition, 1 to a maximum of 3 points will be assessed:
- In-depth study of an article available on moodle
- Reading and commentary of one of the novels mentioned in the bibliography

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

The criteria for the evaluation of the oral test are:
- personal reworking of content in the relationship between theory and practice;
- mastery of the language specific to the discipline;
