- The course aims at providing critical and methodological tools for investigating politically related issues within the frame of philosophical tradition.
Program
The course focuses on a pivotal text of the Political Philosopy’s tradition, the "Stateman" by Plato, and, by investigateing on its conceptual frames, revisits traditional paths of interpretations at the light of Michel Foucault's reading. The course aims at problematizing, non merely in philological-historical terms, the relationship between the classical political lexicon and political issues of our time.
