Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to build a learning path on the development of European institutional systems. This path will end with an analysis of the transformations of democracy in recent decades.
To complete the course, the student will be able to grasp the aspects and the main elements of the institutional traditions of the European continent also in relation to the Italian one.

STATE AND REVOLUTION
The course aims to reflect on the inaugural phase of modernity starting from two classic authors: on the one hand, the historian Eric J. Hobsbawm, who in "The Age of Revolution" offers a great historical-social fresco of the period included between the French Revolution and the revolutions of 1848; on the other, the philosophical and political reflection of Hannah Arendt, who in the essay "On the revolution" questions herself on the themes of freedom and equality.
