Legend | Type of training activity (TTA)
TAF (Type of Educational Activity) All courses and activities are classified into different types of educational activities, indicated by a letter.
Type D and Type F activities
- tutte queste iniziative richiedono, per l'acquisizione dei relativi CFU, il superamento di una prova di verifica delle competenze acquisite, secondo le indicazioni contenute nella sezione "Modalità d'esame" della singola attività;

Period
secondo semestre (lauree) dal Feb 15, 2021 al Jun 1, 2021.
Learning outcomes
This laboratory aims to develop the soft skills of the economic scientist in students, analyzing the key elements of economic scientific research, useful for understanding how the work of the social scientist is carried out and how he tries to solve problems. Students will be introduced to the ex ante evaluation techniques of large projects used within the Recovery Fund which implements the Next Generation EU program.
Program
The activity foresees a total number of hours of commitment by the student of about 75 hours, of which 18 in the presence (telematic) of the reference teacher or his substitute.
The assessment test consists in the evaluation of a final paper to be delivered at the end of the course that describes the evaluation carried out by the team work on the project assigned to them.
The activity will be organized in the second semester and is aimed at students of the School of Economics and Management, in particular third-year students of the Degree in Economics and Business or of the Degree in Business Administration and / or all University students given the transversal nature of the course. Students will be introduced to the ex ante evaluation techniques of large projects used within the Recovery Fund that implements program B
Next Generation EU.
During the lectures, the teacher will explain how, starting from a topic that you want to deepen, you collect data, either from the available databases or through the use of questionnaires. Some introductory elements will also be introduced relating to the most widely used software for cataloging data and verifying economic and social models (Stata, R and Gams). Once the data has been collected, we will proceed with the analysis and interpretation activities, identifying the problems of the economic system in question and trying to apply economic policy decisions, acting as a "policy maker", and simulating, when possible, the effects with a software which does not require knowledge of programming languages. A short scientific report on the activity / policy carried out will be drawn up in progress. The team work on case studies will be privileged.
