Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
The university course Istituzioni di Diritto pubblico considers the Italian constitutional law in a diachronic perspective and with particular regard to constitutional practices.

2 Historical Profile of the Italian constitutional law.
3 Sources of law.
4 The forms of direct democracy.
5 The rights of citizens.
6 The constitutional duties.
7. Parliament.
8 The President of the Republic.
9 The Government.
10 The relationship between the Government and Parliament.
11 The Administration in the Constitution.
12 The Judiciary.
13 The Constitutional Court.
14 Regions and local governments.
Textbooks
The exam will be based on the following text: V. ONIDA - Pedrazza Gorlero M. (eds), Compendio di Diritto costituzionale, Giuffrè, Milan, III ed., 2014, or BIN R. - G. Pitruzzella, Diritto pubblico, Giappichelli, Turin.
The student will know, also, the provisions of the Constitution and the relevant laws.
In this regard, it is recommended to combine the study of the textbook and a constant consultation of laws.
Examination Methods
The exam consists of a written test (20 questions).
For each error or no response it will be deducted 2 points.
The exam lasts 30 minutes and it will be passed with at least 18/30.
There are no partial exams.

STUDENTS WHO SHOULD STILL TAKE THE EXAM OF INSTITUTIONS OF LAW AND PUBLIC LAW AND ECONOMICS OF 10 CREDITS ARE REQUIRED TO STUDY THE MATERIALS PROVIDED FOR THEIR ACADEMIC YEAR: R. BIN - G. Pitruzzella, Diritto pubblico, Giappichelli, as well as a text chosen from the following: S. CASSESE, Oltre lo Stato, Laterza, except chap. 7; or M. D'Alberti, Poteri pubblici, mercati e globalizzazione, il Mulino; or A. Pisaneschi, Dallo Stato imprenditore allo Stato regolatore e ritorno?, Giappichelli, except chap. 8.
Mode of examination: ORAL EXAM.
