CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to offer students a general view of the national and international discipline of intellectual property and competition law. Through the analysis of selected juridical cases, lectures also intend to increase students’ capability of recognizing juridical problems related to marketing, communication and advertising, R&D and transfer of technology.

Program
The program intends to address the most relevant legal institutions of industrial and competition law, with a view to providing an exhaustive framework of the rules that regulate corporate communication as well as the rationale behind them. The theoretical explanation will then be accompanied by a practical approach to the subject, through the presentation of case studies and related discussion of the problems to be solved in order to set the marketing strategies of the company concerning the exploitation of its intangible assets in a legally correct manner. In summary, the program will focus on the following topics: - Unfair competition and advertising - Trademark and distinctive signs - Geographical indications - Patent for invention - Designs and models - Antitrust law In addition to the relevant provisions of the Industrial Property Code and the Civil Code, it is indicates which reference text: Vanzetti - Di Cataldo, Industrial Law Manual, Milan, Giuffrè, 2021, p. 1-535; 577-666.

Learning assessment procedures
The exam consists of a single written test in Italian on the entire programme, structured in 3 open-ended questions on three different parts of the programme. The score is out of thirty and the minimum score is 18/30. Passing the test implies the registration of the vote.
Evaluation criteria
In the answers to the questions, the knowledge of the discipline and its main interpretative problems, the understanding of the concepts learned and the ownership of the legal language will be evaluated. Criteria for the composition of the final grade
