Learning outcomes
The course introduces the main issues pertaining the management of Banking institutions, aiming at providing students with the methodologies necessary to understand both technical and management features. The former relates to the activities performed by banks and to credit instruments; the latter regards the management policies referring to the different banking activities. In deepening the financial intermediation activities and the financial and currency management of the typical risks of banks, the regulatory context will be considered. Students will learn concepts and methodologies necessary to critically assess the dynamics of banking activities and to understand their issues and risks. At the end of the course, students will be supposed to autonomously evaluate the role of banks within the financial system, the features of credit intermediation and related risks.
