Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Provide students with the necessary elements for understanding and economic and financial management of wineries. Students will be able to analyze the balance sheet items, and related indices. The ability to read the financial statements, the methods for evaluating the individual items, the main indicators that characterize the economic management of the winery will be discussed and presented also through business cases
Program
The course includes the following topics:
Definitions, company classification.
- The institutional conception of the company. Company and enterprise. Framework to the agricultural context. The mission of the company and its social dimension. The subjects who contribute to the creation of the company and the figure of the entrepreneur. Focus on the wine sector. The structure of a farm and the different types of business. The company organization.
Production factors and their evaluation
Corporate management aspects: financial, economic, asset management.
Financial and economic balance of the firm.
The assessment of the economy of the company
the financial statements; reclassification and analysis of the balance sheet and income statement.
The active and passive components of the balance sheet.
The income and expense components of the income statement.
Economic analysis of investments: business plan, cash flows, Net present value, Internal rate of return.
Break-even point analysis, the case of the wine sector
