Learning outcomes

The objective of the course is to provide students with an overview of the national, European and international framework of the industrial law and competition institutes. Through the illustration of the case law in this area, the course aims, in particular, on one hand, to introduce the classic industrial law institutes to students, with a detailed analysis of the unfair competition, the distinguishing marks of a company, indications and designations of origin, their protection bodies, industrial design and utility patents, unfair commercial practices and false advertising, as well as remedies and sanctions available before the Antitrust Authority and the Ordinary judge, and, on the other hand, to develop the students’ ability to recognize the legal issues related to the industrial law linked to business activity, business practices on marketing and commercial communication.
