Learning outcomes

The course, held by dr. Lugoboni and by Dr. Rebecca Casari of Addiction Medicine Unit, the structure at the forefront in detoxifications from legal and illegal substances, analyze the potential danger of misuse of benzodiazepines and opioid analgesics, one of the emerging concerns in the US. In particular, we will examine the history of the use of BZD, their proper use, the epidemiology of the abuse, forms of improper use, withdrawal treatment, drug alternatives. The final lecture will be held by Dr. Paul Delaini, pharmacist, using the internet as a source of abuse / trafficking of drugs additives.

Program

Through 3 lessons, 2 hours each, we'll stress use, abuse and dependence from benzodiazepine, pain-killers and the illicit commerce of drugs on Internet.
