Learning outcomes
The course aims at providing to the student the basic knowledge of the histopathological and the molecular features of gastrointestinal and bilio-pancreatic tumors. The clinical significance of histopathological and molecular data will be explained starting from the classical pathology report. At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the impact and the implications of histopathological exams, exploiting the knowledge also to prepare ad-hoc requests for histopathological exams in the suspect of gastrointestinal and bilio-pancreatic tumors, with all the data required for the diagnosis.
Program
Starting from paradigmatic cases (digital slides), a detailed description and a complete discussion about the histopathological and the molecular features of gastrointestinal and bilio-pancreatic tumors will be provided.
